Scrap Camp 2011 – A Summary – Part 01
I am having some problems with vimeo so you’re getting a video of the 14 layouts now instead. I will post my summary video as soon as possible.

I can’t believe we are on the last day of Scrap Camp 2011 already! Where has time gone?
I wanted to finish Scrap Camp 2011 like I started it: with a single page and cut out letters. First, I gessoed my page like I normally do. I then added some bright yellow. I cut out the letters for “the weekend” and glued them onto my page.

I then painted a few of the letters black and the others in my favorite blue Caribbean. Finally, I added journaling on a card and ripped off the edges.

I will be back with one last video tomorrow: I’ll show you my completed album.

I can’t believe that we are close to the end of Scrap Camp. I am planning a “make your calendar” camp for October/ November. So sign up to my newsletter, so you won’t miss any updates on my products as well as camps and workshops.
I felt much better today so, I grabbed some yellow & pink

After I have gessoed my pages, I simply added one thick layer of yellow and one thick layer of pink on top of it for my background. Just adding paint to a page feels so relaxing to me.

While the paint was still wet I used the other end of my brush as a pen and wrote my quote. Because my paint was still wet, I was able to get all the way through to the gessoed part of my page, leaving a nice trace of my writing in the paint. I love the effect!!!
I added some swirlies and dried my pages. When my pages were dry, I added splashes of black and white for some contrast.
